Margaret Berg Growney’s distinguished 51-year career left a lasting legacy in the legal community until her retirement in 2002 and her passing in 2018 at the age of 99.
Mary McKeown has dedicated over 25 years to championing the rights of injured individuals, earning an AV Preeminent rating from her peers in the legal community for her outstanding professionalism and ethical standards.
Katie Jackson focuses on estate planning and adoptions at Growney, McKeown & Barber, P.A., where she continues to apply her knowledge and dedication to serving clients.
Jon H. Barber is retired from 40 years of practicing and now serves as a certified Family Law Mediator. He facilitated over 500 adoptions in Pinellas and Pasco County, aiding children in finding their “forever families.”

Jon H. Barber, recently retired from Growney, McKeown & Barber, was an attorney for 40 years, focusing on estate planning, family law, and adoption. He was born in Southeastern Pennsylvania, graduated from Ohio University in 1970, served in the U.S. Army as a logistician, and later attended Cumberland School of Law. He was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1976 and the Florida Bar in 1977. Jon also served as an Army Reservist for over 20 years. He moved to Florida in 1981, joining the law firm of Growney, McKeown & Barber, P.A., focusing on family law, wills, probate, and landlord/tenant law.
Jon was a certified Family Law Mediator and facilitated over 500 adoptions in Pinellas and Pasco County, finding joy in helping children find their “forever families.”
